You’re Invited! Roo Fest - Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1-3 pm 

The PTA is thrilled to announce the upcoming THIRD annual Fall Festival - Roo Fest! Join us from 1-3 pm for an afternoon filled with games, food, raffles, a petting zoo, and more! While admission to Roo Fest is FREE, be sure to purchase tickets through the PTA's website BEFORE November 8th if you plan to enjoy food from the concession stand or participate in the exciting cake walk. Buying tickets in advance ensures you can skip the lines and dive straight into the festivities.

Back by Popular Demand: Tie Dye Newton Collins T-Shirts! 

  • Due to overwhelming demand from parents and teachers, we have reopened our t-shirt store until November 13th. This is your final chance to buy a t-shirt! They cost $20 and will be shipped directly to the school and sent home with your student.

Parents of Exceptional Students Meeting - Wednesday, 12/6 at 7:45 am 

  • Resources for Parents of Exceptional Students (RPES) The Parents of Exceptional Students committee was created to connect DVISD parents with a supportive network of families and resources for Special Education and 504 plans. The final meeting for the semester is next month on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 7:45 am. For questions, please reach out to

Hallway Heroes - Sign up for November! 

  • Hallway Heroes is a new program at Newton Collins that encourages parents, relatives, and community members to serve as positive role models on campus, while also being an extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school safety. You must be an approved DVISD volunteer to sign up! If you’ve been approved, great. You can contact Dan at to sign up for November. 

Yearbook Makeup Photo Day - 12/13

  • If you missed picture day, do not worry. The day for makeup photos is Wednesday, Dec. 13.

  • To be an active member, you have to re-join the PTA at the beginning of the school year. Dues are $9. Join Today! 


Special Events from Spring, 2023

We hosted a parent social for Newton Collins parents at Cenizo Coffee, which is just a few steps from Newton Collins. DVISD Superintendent, Annette Tielle, and Board of Trustee, Shaira Ramzanali, both made special appearances to talk with parents. Cenizo also donated proceeds from their grand opening to the PTA! THANK YOU Cenizo! 

We had a SUN-sational line-up of activities for our wonderful teachers at Newton Collins! 

Monday: Cenizo Coffee pop-up sponsored by RBFCU 

Tuesday: Breakfast from Lonestar Kolaches sponsored by our generous Easton Park neighbors with donations from Red Bull 

Wednesday: Taco Cabana lunch sponsored by Easton Park HOA 

Thursday: Photo Booth donated by Kona Event ATX and a dessert social with donations from Crumbl Cookies Southpark Meadows and Lick Honest Ice Creams

Friday: Lunch from Chisholm Trail BBQ sponsored by Pacesetter Homes 

Over 20 raffle prizes were donated by Amy’s Ice Cream, BookPeople, Jason’s Deli, Kendra Scott, Meanwhile Brewery, Painting with a Twist Southpark Meadows, Peoples RX, and Zen Blend.
