Principal's Message

Ashley Fredo, Newton Collins Elementary Principal

Ashley Fredo is a native Austinite and joined Del Valle ISD as Principal of Newton Collins Elementary in the 20-21 school year. Her 25 years in education has included serving students as a Special Education Teacher, 5th grade teacher, Executive Coordinator for Continuous Improvement, Associate Principal, and Principal of Shanklin Elementary in Luling ISD and Morningside Elementary in Comal ISD. 

Mrs. Fredo has a BA in Youth and Community Studies from the University of Texas and a Masters in Educational Administration from Lamar University. Her Texas certifications include EC-12 Principal, EC-4 Generalist, 4-8 Generalist, EC-12 Special Education and EC-12 ESL.

A Message from Ashley Fredo

We are thrilled to be launching the 23-24 school year and welcoming all of our families to Newton Collins Elementary.

I believe that our families, students, and teachers make Newton Collins Elementary the BEST campus in Del Valle ISD and am honored to serve as principal. We have a dedicated staff that work to meet the needs of all of our students. We are committed to providing rigorous and relevant academic instruction and also to develop the "Whole Child" by helping students build quality relationships with their peers and learn leadership habits for life. 

We look forward to our time with your children and appreciate the opportunity to work with you. Together, we CAN and we Will have a great school year and meet the needs of all our students!
